可怜天下父母心
电视里正在播放一个选秀节目。比赛很紧张。有父母山长水远来为子女打气。台上是紧张的随时担心被淘汰的选手，台下是泪流满眶的父母。
我随口说了句：如果我是选手，绝对不让父母来。
旁边有人马上接口：如果是我的小孩比赛，我绝对来。
仔细想想，如果我是父母，当然是要来啊。但是从孩子角度来说，真的是没必要来。娘心和儿心表现差别真大。
下面是我认识的一个人给大学毕业后还住在家里（在这边很少见）的孩子的信。显然孩子并不出色，大学毕业还没工作，而且非常不买父母的帐。

Considerate to enquire whether it is okay without giving orders as to your out of town plans
7 PLEASE REMEMBER TO TURN ALL THE LIGHTS OFF WHEN GOING
OUT AND COMING IN LATE AT NIGHT.
8. Sundays have always been our family day (however boring), when we just hang
out together, do some catching up and have dinner. If you want to go out after
dinner that is fine, but try to remember that the next day is a Monday and a
working day for most people.
9. If any of your friends are going to leave their car in the driveway, we have to have

10. Please try not to tell untruths, i.e. the Burberry Scarf saga – as when I spoke to
David Beldam he said that you knew it was not in his Jeep because you had all

We love you so much ****** and thrive on all of your stories, but I must admit it hurts so much when you say that you hate being around us because we are no fun!
We were so looking forward to you coming home from University – there is very little that we do not support. When you indicated you wanted to take this summer course, we gave you every encouragement and then at the absolute last minute you cancelled – we supported this decision too.
